That bacon probably cooked quickly.
A 12% lager is next level, normally I only see that kind of alcohol on fancy ass Belgian tripels. Since it wasn’t your first choice, was it a pleasant surprise or something you’ll avoid from now on?
For all the problems in life, meat on the grill and a couple of 12% brewskies are probably enough to take your mind off the weirdness of reality for a while.
I’m having a friend over for the first time since we started the self-distancing this back in March. It’s going to be nice to have a bit of something normal.

Cooking the bacon took a long time. I put 4 on about midway through cooking the pork tenderloin. Then figured F-it slap the other four directly over the coals, which added more bacon grease smoke, took the tenderloin off, put that in the oven at 170°F to “keep warm” and continued cooking the bacon until I thought they were crispy or soft enough.
All this was next level. The beer was a bit harsh at first and got smoother the more I drank. I was on the hunt for a Stout that had been released that day. But only got one from the bakery. This was like $3.50 as a single. I’d taste it again. But there are so many other beers I haven’t had... I’m trying to condition my taste buds to IPAs. It takes a couple to taste good to me.
